He was predeceased by: his father Frank Friel; and his brothers-in-law, George Kiger, Orville Kiger, Leo "Bud" Anderson and Jess Kinser.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Friel (Kiger); his children, Scott Friel (Cheryl) and Tishia Damschroder (Bill); his grandchildren, Greg Damschroder (Allysa), Tom Damschroder, Nicole Austin (Jordan) and Josh Drumm (Katie); his great grandchildren, Beau and Morgan Drumm; his sister Linda Kinser (Friel); and his siblings-in-law, Wilbert Kiger (Gerry), Emily Anderson (Kiger), June Kiger and Judy Kiger. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Hugh's honor to Hospice of Central Ohio P.O. Box 430 Newark, Ohio 43058-0430.
