He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Shumaker and Georgia Shumaker (Pettit) of Virginia; and his siblings, Patricia Harrison and Thomas Shumaker. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Shumaker (Hunter); his sons, Brad Shumaker (Jen Delaney) of Granville, J. R. and J. Hunter Shumaker (Erin); his grandchildren, Dylan Shumaker, Georgia Shumaker of Newark, Claire Shridas (Arun) of Cincinnati, Hunter Shumaker of Idaho and Jack Shumaker; and his nephews, Steven Welker (Judy) of Zanesville and Douglas Welker of Zanesville.
