He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver R. Landis and Floda A. Landis (Vance); and his siblings, Leo Landis, Russell Landis, Denver R. Landis, Sr., Nola Shrock, Freda Stimpert and Anna Bell Landis.
He is survived by: his wife Carol L. Landis (Webb); his children, James Landis Jr., Connie Long (Grant) and Cindy Landis (Travis Fulk); his grandchildren, Logan Farley (Aubrey), Skyler Farley (Janice), Canyon Carter (Danielle), Cullen Carter (Danielle), Parker Farley, Gage Farley, Caira Clendening (Reese) and Allyson Idleman (Devon); and his great grandchildren, Mia, Stella, Bella, Beau, Sophia, James, Forrest, Luke, Levi, Kliff, Everett, Lane, Klyde and Ezra.
