It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James R. Wilson of Newark, Ohio, born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James O. Wilson and Jessie Wilson (Wykoff); his wife Shirley E. Wilson (Smart); his daughter Amy Elizabeth; and his sister Faith Hartman.
He is survived by: his children, Julia Loudermilk (Heath), James T. Wilson (Sachiko) and Joshua D. Wilson; his grandchildren, Leah Coonley (Brian), Elijah, Troy, Sianna McGuire (Owen), Alex, Lucian, Marissa and Ethan; his great grandchild Connor; his daughter-in-law Danielle Wilson; and his siblings-in-law, Elaine Edgington and Roy Smart (Sharon).
