He was predeceased by: his son Travis Redman; his great grandchild Landon Redman; and his brother Jerry Redman. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Redman (Trickle); his children, Carrie Hayden (Mark), Jay Redman, Jr. (Nadine) and Aryana Redman; his grandchildren, Natashia Redman, Andrew Redman (Liz), Christian Hayden (Emily), Bailey Hayden and Griffin Hayden; his great grandchildren, Amelia Redman, Lincoln and Lillie; his siblings, Mary Lou Holman (Gary), Karen Ray (Mike), Paulette Dunlap (Bob) and Craig Redman; his mother-in-law Dolores McDonald (Harold); and his aunt Jo Layton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
