He is survived by: his wife Sharon Athey (Nice); his children, Mikayla Athey (Stephen Deitch) and Dillon Athey (Jessica); his grandchildren, Jeana Damron, Colton Horn and Thomas Athey; his siblings, Brad Athey (Cheryl) and Jami Bright; his uncle Dennis Athey (Alice); and his siblings-in-law, Sheila Wisecarver, Diane Burwell (Wayne) and Jason Swinehart. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
