It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Eileen Church of Newark, Ohio, who passed away on June 25, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan Eileen Church to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Newton Vermilion and Julia Vermilion (Varner); and her husband Thomas William Church. She is survived by: her pet Heidi; her children, Craig William Rowe, David Alan Rowe, Teresena "Teri" Careins, Marti Lynn Rowe, Tim Church, Lei Ann Rowe, Kelli Schneider (Eric) and Tamre Church; and her siblings, David Vermilion, Leland Vermilion (Ricki) and Deloris Brownfield. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great great grandson.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd., Newark, OH 43055.

Sincerely, Air Force Veteran middle(invisible)daughter, your ("Lil' Orphan Annie") .sorry you never seemed to like me. But I tried to obey & b yur house keeper, babysitting, paying rent from 9-16 yrs. old. Could never get any love. But,Christ/God does. I've been raised to b independent w/out physical love. Awards from 5 colleges , student body president. High awards n military. So as we kids would agree "thx 4 making us strong and independent, mother.”
