He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Burkey and Vergie Burkey (Snouffer). He is survived by: his children, Elaine Michelle Horst of Alexandria and Adam Lawrence Burkey of Alexandria; his grandchildren, John Horst, Levi Horst, Lauren Burkey, Seth Burkey and Nathan Burkey; and his wife Karen Burkey (Debolt).
