She is survived by: her husband Jack Farquhar; her son Joseph "Joey" Kieffer (Jeanette); her grandson Jaxon Kieffer; her former husband Craig Kieffer; her stepson Mike Farquhar; her friend Patty Thagard; Cynthia Schoenhoff. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Karen's memory to the Licking County Humane Society.
