He was predeceased by: his wife Debra Jones (Claypool); his daughter Dorothy Jones; his sister Sharry Pickrell (Jim); his stepbrother Gary Von Ins; and his parents, John Jones and Dorothy Jones (Martin).
He is survived by: his son Evan Jones (Andrea "Andy"); his grandchildren, Jackson, Soma and Duke; and his sisters, Patricia "Patti" Martin and Julie Lewis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws as well as their many children.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, The Ohio History Connection as well as the Stephanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Cancer Center for Research.
