She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wesley and Eula Mae Montgomery (Ballinger); her husband Thomas "Tom" Burkett; and her brother Dan Montgomery. She is survived by: her son Brian T. Burkett; her daughter-in-law Melissa Lagace-Burkett; her grandchildren, Blake and Addison; her siblings, Barb Lucero (Fernando) and Dave Montgomery (Barb); her sister-in-law Kathy Montgomery; and her siblings' children, David, Tiffany, Michelle, Nicole, Danielle, Jennifer, Jacquie, Hannah and Olivia. She is also survived by great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service (59 N 5th St, Newark, OH 43055). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
