He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne E. Applegate and Eleanor E. Applegate (Haverfield); and his brother Richard Applegate. He is survived by: his wife Tricia L. Applegate (Atskoff); his daughters, Jennifer Galiher (Dan Blevins), Nicole Wheeler (Doug) and Chelsea Biggs (Zack); his grandchildren, Tyler, Jayden, Michael (Alex), Natalie, Gracyn and Elisha; his great grandchildren, Dean, Dawson and Weston; his nieces, Amy and Carrie; his sister-in-law Myrtle Applegate; and his close friends, Les and Julie Bell. He is also survived by five great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home (985 N 21st St, Newark, OH 43055). The military honors will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Honors and Elks Service Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home (985 N 21st St, Newark, OH 43055).
