She was predeceased by: her father Lloyd Claggett; her former husbands, John F. Simpson and Jerald Westenbarger; her sister Mary Alice Abbott; and her grandson Auston Laymon.

She is survived by: her husband Robert Romine; and her daughters, Mary Simpson of Delaware, Sue Simpson of Newark, Bianca Walsh, Monique Pinkerton (Richard) of Granville and Heidi Cain (Bob). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and numerous step-children.
