It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Louise (Giorgetti) Ellis of Newark, Ohio, who passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfredo Giorgetti and Noemi Giorgetti (Simi); her husband Richard E. Ellis; her siblings, O. P., Minnie Andrews (Wayne), George Giorgetti (Madonna), Giselda "Gussie" Ernest (Gerald) and Irma Smith-DeVault (Don); and her siblings-in-law, Janet Jordan (Glenn), Paul Smith, Roland Decker, Robert Ellis (Helen) and Robert Rauch.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debra Shelly (Dave) and Lori Welsh (Dan); and her sisters-in-law, Rosemary Decker, Suzanne Rauch and Marlene Winters. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home (141 Green Wave Dr, Newark, OH 43055). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (40 Granville St, Newark, OH 43055).
