It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maxine E. Gause of Newark, Ohio, born in Saint Marys, Ohio, who passed away on July 29, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Fisher and Lula Fisher (Miller); her former husband Clarence Schellenbarg; her husband Chester D. Gause; her son Clarence W. Schellenbarg; and her siblings, R. Naomi Longsworth, Betty Hague, Pauline Fisher and Daniel.

She is survived by: her children, Gloria J. Longfellow (Larry), Robert E. Schellenbarg (Angie Houston), Leroy Gause (Connie), Donald L. "Duck" Gause (Tina Nichols), Julie A. Neldon and Rose Mason (Clifford). She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
