She was predeceased by : her mother Tammy Crumrine (Rine); and her grandparents, Sarah Yantis, Donald Rine and Connie McClain-Handley. She is survived by : her father Michael Yantis; her children, Brooklynn VanValkenburg, Carly Coakley, Arianna, Aurora and Alexander Retherford; her uncles, Jason Yantis (Brittney) and Chuck Rine (Reva); her aunt Pam Helms (Phil); her cousins, Jessica, Mallori, Savanna, Elizabeth, Hannah, Chloe, Logan, Carter, Christy, Misty and Ashley; and her friend Rachel Marozzi.
Michelle gave the gift of life through organ, eye and tissue donation.
