He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Lent and Margaret Lent (Callahan); his wife Marjorie Ann Lent; and his brothers, Gary, Dane and D. Scott Lent.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Bates (Eric) and Kimberly Trapp; his granddaughter Kennedy Trapp; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Lent and Frederick Toth (Bonnie-Jean). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home (141 Green Wave Dr, Newark, OH 43055). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Newark Memorial Gardens (4244 Marion Rd NE, Newark, OH 43055).
