Raymond W. Schwarz Obituary
Visitation for Raymond W. Schwarz Jr., age 71, of Newark, will be on Tuesday, November 2, from 3-5p.m. at The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 59 N. Fifth Street, Newark.
Raymond passed away on October 27, 2021 at Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). He was born on August 29, 1950 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to the late Raymond W. and Betty J.(Farmer) Schwarz.
He was a member of the Factory Steelworkers Union and worked at Newark Electro Plating. Raymond was the life of the party and always joking with people around him as his funny personality was always on display. He enjoyed puzzles, adult coloring books, word searches and watching the Game Show Network, but most of all he enjoyed his time spent with his grandchildren. Ray also spent a lot of time walking outdoors and around town and enjoyed camping and cooking over a fire
.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Mary K. (Renicker) Schwarz; a daughter, Billie (Larry 'Paul' Martin) Callahan; two sons, Christopher M. (Jennifer Shaffer) Renicker and Ryan E. (Amy Clodfelter) Schwarz; eight grandchildren, Timothy Callahan, Kathryn Callahan, Kennly Renicker, Natasha Renicker, Kaylee Worthy, Lydia Worthy, Wyatt Schwarz and Xavier Schwarz; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carl E. (Connie) Schwarz Sr. and Stanley W. Schwarz; and a sister, Barbara Ann (Daniel) Gray.
In addition to his parents, Raymond is preceded in death by his Aunt Esther (George) Burg, Uncle Harry (Jane) Farmer and Uncle Paul Farmer.
Family and friends may attend a celebration of life for Raymond on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 2p.m. at Jefferson Meadow Community Center, 341 Virginia Court, Pataskala, Ohio 43062. Food and drinks will be provided.
Memorial contributions may be made in Raymond's name to Hospice of Central Ohio, Attn: Philanthropic Development, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, Newark, Ohio 43055.
