We are sad to announce that on April 22, 2024, at the age of 78, Richard Battat of Newark, Ohio, born in Kingsville, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Richard departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear and the legacy Richard leaves behind.

He is survived by : his wife Nancy Mary Battat (Noll); his children, Jennifer Battat, John Battat (Brian Lamkin) and Julie Rinderle; and his grandchildren, Monica Matheson (Joshua) and Christopher Rinderle.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (66 Granville St, Newark, OH 43055). A Mass was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Cedar Hill Cemetery (275 N Cedar St, Newark, OH 43055).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Rick's name be made to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 45 Granville, Street, Newark, Ohio 43055.
