He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard German and Lissa German; his daughter Lisa Lenore German; his siblings, Betty Bowles (Jim), Edna Coy, Curt German and John German (Evelyn); his father-in-law Joseph Ogg; and his brothers-in-law, Scott Ogg and Dick Dugan.

He is survived by: his wife Jody; his children, Robert J. German (Mary), Timothy P. German (Diana), Danny L. German (Tricia), Jessica D. Elie (Dave) and Lissi M. Shepherd (Garrett); his grandchildren, Pete (Jessica), Tim (Kelsey), Vince (Aubrey), Angela (Jutt), Jake (Cierra), Cole (Elizabeth), Linzie (Andrew), Nick, Autumn, Abigail, Aleah and Baby Ledger; his great grandchildren, Reagan, Josephine, Bo, Leighton, Leyna, Adalynn, Jackson, Tucker, Kayson and Baby Parker; his siblings-in-law, Janet German, Shirley Dugan, Barb Dugan, Loretta Ogg and Carolle Coy (Elaine); and his mother-in-law Carol Ogg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made in Bob's name to the Look Up Center, 50 O'Bannon Avenue, Newark, OH 43055, where he volunteered for many years picking up and delivering food to those less fortunate and as the grounds keeper.
