We bid farewell to Rocky Earl Smith of Newark, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 21, 2025 at the age of 64. Rocky Earl touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Smith and Eunice Smith (Fisher); his brother Rusty Smith (Patti); and his grandson Karter Smith. He is survived by: his significant other Connie (Sturm); his children, Amber Smith, Lindsey Everhart (Scott) and Roxanne Blair (Chris); his stepchildren, Chase Cameron (Elizabeth) and Chelsea Wolf; his children, Kenya Thomas and Peter Mande of Uganda; his grandchildren, Gavin Kirch, Landon Rodgers, Blaze Everhart, Blane Everhart, Zoa Dixon, Keira Shipley, Elaina, Leah and Anna Cameron; his great grandchild Rocky Smith Jr. of Uganda, Africa.; his siblings, Tony Boler, Rhonda Saling (Paul) and Jeanie Denman (Kevin); and his close friends, Troy, Zenaide Burden, Bob Blackstone and Steve Minor.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Northside Church of Christ (4427 Marion Rd NE, Newark, OH 43055). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at the Wilson Cemetery (4254 Marion Rd NE, Newark, OH 43055).
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northside Church of Christ for the Africa missions.
