He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard B. Painter and Grace L. Painter (Sheron); and his brothers, John Sheron, Bill Painter, Richard Painter and Jim Painter.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Janet Jones, Karen Ream (Doug), Joan Cook (Lou), Robert Holton (Sue), Becky Fitzpatrick (Bryan) and Jason Painter (Lisa); his siblings, Curt Painter (Geri), Phil Painter (Jo) and Margaret Morgan (Virgil); and his sister-in-law Sharron Painter. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
