He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles F. Trein and Edith M. Trein (Shaw); his son Ronald Scott Trein; and his brothers, Larry "Earp" Trein and Bill "Squirrel" Trein.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline A. Trein (Bixler); his children, Steve Trein (Kathy), Michael Trein (Kelly) and Lori Cohagen (Chris); his grandchildren, Douglas Trein (Jen), Ronnie Trein, Paige Beisel (Chris), Randy Trein (Miranda), Christopher Cohagen (Emily Noss), Taylor Justice (Jacob), Carissa Cohagen and Ty Trein (Kasey); his great grandchildren, Tucker, Olivia, Vanessa, Mason, Hudson, Kayson and Brooks; his brother Keith "Bubba" Trein (Vicki); and his daughter-in-law Karen Trein. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
