He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul McConnell and Lulu McConnell (Hite); his wife Ruth I. McConnell; his brother Dick McConnell; and his close friend Missy.

He is survived by: his children, Joseph McConnell (Lori), David McConnell (Teresa) and Ronda McConnell (Dave Clark); his grandchildren, Matthew, Shannen and Christopher; and his great grandchildren, McKenzie, Caleb, Johnny and Ellie. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
