Shirley Ann Smith Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Ann Smith of Newark, Ohio, born in Ellicott City, Maryland, who passed away on May 30, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George D. Winfrey and Ivel Johnson Winfrey; her husband Gene; her siblings, George, Robert, Henry Winfrey and Lynn Winfrey-Swaim; and her nephew Gray.

She is survived by: her daughters, Rebecca Kauffman, Cynthia Smith (Mark Stockwell) and Linda Kight (Duane); her grandchildren, Alyssa Kauffman-Thomas (A. J.), Jordan Oliver and Leah Oliver-Hall (Patrick); her great grandchild Anthony Colten Thomas; her sister-in-law Marie Winfrey (George); and her nieces and nephews, Gloria Humble, Debbie Dean, Judy Watkins, Frank, Mark and Sandy Winfrey.
