He was predeceased by: his parent Mary Grooms (Nethers); his nephews, Shawn Grooms and Christopher Grooms; his siblings, Helen Crenshaw, Norma Webb, Bud Grooms and Victor Grooms; and his brothers-in-law, Tim Oiler, Sr. and Rick Wemmer.

He is survived by: his fiancée Kimberly Day; his stepson Justin Hall (Devon); his grandchildren, Breahna Hall, Justin "Jaye" Hall, Jr., Kolten Hall and Liam Hall; his siblings, Becky Schimpf (Charles) and Jeff Grooms; his sister-in-law Tammey Wemmer; and his siblings' children, Derek, Danny, Jeffrey, Darcey, Ebbie, Buddy, Crystal, Chad, Brandy, Nish, Zack, Jayne, Amy, Becky, Paul, Leah and Courtland.

Visitation was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service (59 N 5th St, Newark, OH 43055). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

“I was shocked to hear of Tim's death. To our family he was very special and we were sad we had lost touch. I am Pam Annarino's sister and Tim was with my husband when she was found. I know she thought of Tim as a best friend and he helped her a lot. Know your son, fiancé, step-dad, brother and uncle was one in a million. I have a Dr appt at 1030 in Mt Vernon so I won't be able to attend any of the services. Please tell Tim I thought of him often. Becky Rodeniser”
