It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Travis A. Mirra in Newark, Ohio, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Mirra and Helen Mirra; his wife Sharon Mirra; his brother Ed Mirra; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Wallace and Kay Braniger.
He is survived by: his children, Travis "Scott" Mirra (Lori) and Shannon A. Horton (Mark); his stepson Greg McCarthy (Heather); his grandchildren, Casey, Candice, Skylar, Cole, Grant, Evan and Blake; his great grandchildren, Eleanor and Briele; his parents-in-law, Jeanette and Bill; and his siblings-in-law, Anita, Karen, Vicki, Linda, Robyn, Mark, Alan, Bill and Gid. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service (179 Granville St, Newark, OH 43055). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the Mirra family kindly requests donations be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, an organization that provided care and comfort.
