With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Verna Louise (Gutridge) Hickman of Newark, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 14, 2025 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Gutridge and Gussie Gutridge (Drumm); her husband Bernard Hickman; and her siblings, Betty Bartlett, Vern, Verl, David and Charles Gutridge.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Hickman, Carmen Martin, Denise Wheeler, Lori Hickman and Brad Hickman (Joyce); and her siblings, Ruth Ann Church, Gilbert Gutridge and Joseph Gutridge (Barbara). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
