He is survived by: his wife Margaret Morgan (Painter); his children, Mindy Morgan (Rita), Kim Garven, Patricia Wampler and John Morgan (Ashley); his grandchildren, Christopher (Jenny), Morgan, Adrian, Andalucia, Jakob, Andrew and Abigail; his great grandchildren, Zayden, Ava, Raven and Harley Garven; his sisters, Charlotte Tackett and Lee Anne Hawk (Andy); and his siblings-in-law, Curt Painter (Gerri), Phil Painter (Jo), Sharron Painter and Shirley Painter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
