Walter Gene Montgomery Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Montgomery and Bernice Montgomery (Peak); his wife Carol Jean Montgomery; and his daughter Melissa Montgomery. He is survived by: his children, Liz Douridas (Doug), Cynthia Kelley (Leo), Curtis Montgomery (Susan), Susan Montgomery and Craig Montgomery (Tracy); his grandchildren, Jodie Greene (Brandon), Michael Lafferre, Marie Deardurff (David), Gene Montgomery, Alexandra Montgomery (Ritchie Willis) and Travis Montgomery; and his sisters, Delores White and Joyce Longworth (Joe). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Northside Church of Christ (4427 Marion Rd NE, Newark, OH 43055). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the Newark Memorial Gardens (4244 Marion Rd NE, Newark, OH 43055).
