He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva C. Watson and Lucille Delph Watson; his brother Harold Dwight Watson; his nephew Dwight Watson Jr.; and the mother of his children Sharon Watson.
He is survived by: his children, Catherine Boyles (Steve), Margaret Thomas (John) and Alva Joseph Watson (Deidra Leasure). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many friends.
