He was predeceased by: his parents, H. F. "Bill" Clapper and Ferne Clapper (McCarthy); and his son Thomas Clapper. He is survived by: his wife Carole Clapper (Thabet); his son Michael Clapper; his grandchildren, Caitlin, Brittney and Courtney; his great grandchildren, Gianna, Eden, Nolan and Georgia; and his brother Edward Clapper (Toni). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Edward Catholic Church (785 Newark Granville Rd, Granville, OH 43023). A Mass was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Greenville Union Cemetery (200 West St, Greenville, OH 45331). The military honors was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
