He was predeceased by: his father William F. Short; his brothers, Joseph Short and Thomas Short; and his nephew Jarrod Fox. He is survived by: his children, Brooklyn Short Bogdan (Jack), Robert Blake Short (Natasha) and William Jacob Short; his granddaughter Vienna Everly Short; his siblings, Betty Fox (Bud Myers) and Daniel Short (Tonia); his nephews, Eric Richeson (Jessy), Matthew Short, James Short (Sandra), Brian Short (Sandra) and Michael Short (Marla); his niece Michelle Crawford (Josh); his friend Dave Haren; and his wife Cindy Short.

The family would be grateful for memorial contributions to be made to Lifeline of Ohio, since Bill was a multiple organ recipient.
