He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Leroy Townsend and Virginia Lee Heimberger (Mills); his former wife Patricia Townsend; his granddaughter Kayleigh Hagemann; and his brother Joe Townsend.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Paulette D. Francis; his children, Billy A Townsend, Michelle Hagemann (Brandon), Gary Martin (Paula), Carl Hawkins and Hope Pimental (Tylor); his grandchildren, Shyanne, Austin Townsend, Amanda, Riley Hagemann, Courtney, Emma Martin, Logan, Kyndal and Chase Pimental; his child Peyton Hendershot; his siblings, Sandra Mercer (Dave) and Dale Townsend (Pam); his stepsister Terri West (Rowdy); and his great-niece Sandra Peterson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.

My older brother Terry just informed me of Bills passing, and I am kind of heartbroken to have lost a true friend and brother from our youth and then later on after having gotten out of the Military.
