We announce the death of Elizabeth Mitchell of Newcomerstown, Ohio, who passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 86. Elizabeth will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Mitchell and Hazel Mitchell (Cannon); the father of her children Dr. Henry Schrickel; her brother Alfred Mitchell; her granddaughter Leslie Joyce Schrickel; and her sisters, Barb Stewart, Sue Wright and Phyllis Spragg.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Phillip Schrickel (Catherine), Scott Schrickel (Jackie) and Joyce Schrickel (Chuck McDowell); her grandchildren, Dr. Elizabeth Brooke Schrickel (Tabitha Lockhart), Dr. Emily Hope Shurtz (Matthew), Wesley Schrickel (Kristin) and Philip Schrickel (Mona); and her great grandchildren, Owen Shurtz, Everett Shurtz, Anderson James Shurtz, Anna Schrickel, Conley Schrickel and Alistar Schrickel. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
