She is survived by: her children, Starlene Lewis (Richard), Teresa Osborne (John) and Lavenna Carey (Ron); her grandchildren, Christopher Lewis (Trudy), Katina Osborne (Angie), Randy Keeton, Candy Legg (Mike), Kaira Keeton, Lee Keeton, Ron Carey (Andrea), Joe Carey (Sabrina) and Gary Carey (Jen); and her sister Osa Mae Kneely. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

“Jim and I send our sincere sympathy to Mary June's family. May God's presence be with you in this time of sorrow. Jim remembers the time that the Hughes children stayed with his family. Buddy had fallen out of the car while they were on vacation. He was seriously injured, and his mother and father (Bill and Bernita) stayed with him at the hospital. I believe it was in New York state. I bet they had a good time with the Eakins children....at least I hope they did.”
