He was predeceased by: his parents, George Whyde and Twila Whyde (Holdsworth); his wife Betty (Mathews); his son Ronald Whyde; and his siblings, William Whyde (Evelyn) and Donna Colton (Gary).
He is survived by: his children, Karl Whyde (Dora), Russell Whyde (Vickie) and Thomas Whyde (Sandy); his daughter-in-law Ellen; his grandchildren, Rebecca Whyde, Christopher Whyde and Tommy Whyde, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Isaac, Hannah and Lliam; and his siblings, Barbara Storck, Patricia Keylor (Hube) and George Whyde (Marcia). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Addy Funeral Home (406 W State St, Newcomerstown, OH 43832). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Newcomerstown Church of the Nazarene (363 Neigbor St, Newcomerstown, OH 43832).
