She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Buxton and Mable Buxton; and her son Edward Locke. She is survived by: her husband Darryl Locke; her daughter Lorrie; her son-in-law Greg Ellis; her grandchildren, Kurt Ellis (Abby) and Rachel Ellis; her great grandchildren, Amelia, Charlie and Raniyah; her siblings, Gail Deramo (Don), Donna King (Wayne) and Larry Buxton (Abby); and her nieces and nephews, Elisa Arrow (Jerry), Amy Bobbitt (Mike), Scott King (Sue Ann), Chris Buxton (Kayla) and Molly Mellon (Derek). She is also survived by her nine great-nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the dedicated caregivers at The Inn at Old Saybrook, Columbiana and Ohio Valley Hospice, Canfield for their loving compassionate care for Dixie during her journey with Alzheimer's. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Valley Hospice in Canfield in honor of Dixie.
