He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Gilmour and Elizabeth Gilmour (Davis); and his brothers, Benjamin, William, Ronald and Jack Gilmour.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Gilmour (Cottrill); his children, Michael Gilmour (Tori) of Lancaster, Ohio and Kay O'Neill (Raymond) of Liberty; his grandchildren, Whitney Carney (Brent), Mackenzie Gilmour, Liam O'Neill and Laura O'Neill; his great grandchildren, Maverick, Kollins and Parker; and his sister Mary Baker of Niles.
