He was predeceased by: his mother Eleanor Leona Nidel (Killin); and his brother Harry J. Nidel. He is survived by: his father Joseph Nidel; his children, Dr. Joseph M. Nidel of Cortland and Jenna L. Nidel of Cortland; his sister-in-law Ronda L. Nidel of Summit, Mississippi; his niece Elizabeth M. Nidel; and his nephew Patrick T. Nidel of Warren.
