He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Dodgson and Josephine Dodgson Sr. (Tresky); his brothers, Barry Dodgson and Ralph "Bud" Dodgson; his brother-in-law Chris Garvin; his aunt Ann Schepis (Tresky); and his stepgrandson Lance DeFalco.
He is survived by: his wife Cheri Garvin-Dodgson; his children, Matt Dodgson Jr. (Shonda), Tom Dodgson (Tova), Lori Smith (Jason), Audrey Swank (Jacob) and Vincent Dodgson (Keara); his stepdaughter Mallerie Day; his grandchildren, Tom Jr., Justin, Leah, Lindsey, Hadley, Monroe, Corinn and Lennon; and his sisters-in-law, Jan Dodgson (Barry Dodgson), Joan Mongulla (Ralph Dodgson), Debbie Garvin, Amy Harris (Bob) and Lisa Garvin (Chris Garvin).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home (126 W Park Ave, Niles, OH 44446). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made in Matt's name to the charity of your choice.
