He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Smith and Martha Smith (Chambers); and his siblings, Donald, Lester, Joseph and Ann Wright.
He is survived by: his wife Rhonda; his daughter Andrea Newmeyer; his grandchildren, Laurence and Connor; his sister Jean Pascale; and his friend Shirley Ann Wittenauer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
