He was predeceased by: his parent Carol L. Smith; and his sister Patricia "Patti" Grilliot. He is survived by: his wife Dolly (DeVaul); his sons, Jeremy Smith of Bowling Green and Jason Smith of Findlay; his brother Joe Smith (Sheila) of North Baltimore; and his grandchildren, Hawk Sampson (Joe), Hunter Smith and Tiffani Boice.
