Eric leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Eric’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Eric will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his father Greg Mentrup. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Mentrup; his mother Toni Mentrup; his brother Nick Mentrup; and his stepchild Lexie Toombs-Platter (Tommy). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home (4619 Delhi Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45238). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Church (25 E Harrison Ave, North Bend, OH 45052).
Memorials may be made in Eric's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
