He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph and Margaret; and his siblings, Gerry and Carole Lambert. He is survived by: his girlfriend Nancy Ruprecht; his children, Geoffrey, Rebecca Abel-Kennedy (Adam) and Mark (Kathleen Williams); his granddaughters, Emily Abel-Rutter, Charlotte and Willow Abel; his siblings, Thomas, Barbara (James) and James (Joanne); his brother-in-law Robert Lambert; his siblings' children, Timothy, Michael, Peter Lambert, Cynthia Mack, Pamela Abel, Jaclyn Conlon, Matthew, Mark Cannan and Megan Jones; and his close friends, Scott Ruprecht and Todd Ruprecht (Natalie).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church (25 E Harrison Ave, North Bend, OH 45052). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Aquinas Institute-Abel Family Endowed Scholarship, Rochester, NY.
