It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald James Ries (North Lawrence, Ohio), born in Barberton, Ohio, who passed away on October 18, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert'Wilson' Ries and Julia Ries (Molnar) of Clinton, Ohio.; his brother Dana (Bobbi); and his great grandchild Daniel. He is survived by: his wife Joyce (Staver); his sons, Eric (Christine), Kevin, Kirk (Amy) and Sean (Julie); his grandchildren, Bruce (Mandy), Kirsten (Jonathan), Matt (Emily), Kelsey (Karly), Nick, Lonna, Peter'Jared' (Sophie) and Hilary; and his great grandchildren, Kaison, Braxton, Axl, Asher, August, Nizhoni, Juliette, Jacob, Aria, Owen, Emersyn, Otto and Milo.
A reception will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at the Chapel of the Cross (14411 Orrville St NW, North Lawrence, OH 44666).
