She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbert Amos and Gypsy Amos (Moore); her husband Kenneth D. Tenney; and her brothers, Harold (Ralph), James and Danny Amos.

She is survived by: her children, Debora S. Tenney, Loretta J. Tenney, Kenneth W. Tenney (Carol), Philip C. Tenney Sr. (Belinda) and David E. Tenney (Guyla); and her grandchildren, Dacia Redmond, Derek Tenney, Philip C. Tenney Jr., Kaila Tenney, Mathew Tenney and Meagan Tenney. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.

The family requests donations may be made in Shirley's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
