He was predeceased by: his wife Jo Ann; his parents, Ethel Drake and William A. Drake; and his brothers, Roscoe Drake and Rodger Drake.

He is survived by: his children, Don Drake (Maile), Laurie Sanford (Jim) and Danielle Drake (Matt Wreden); his grandchildren, Alieta Drake, Hulita Drake, Chad Sanford (Theresa) and Zach Sanford (Chelsea); and his great grandchildren, Austyn, Evelyn and Logan.
