He was predeceased by: his sibling-in-law Dr. Terry Scanlon (Patty); and his nephew Brett Scanlon. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Elaine Scanlon; his children, Kathleen Wood, Susan Simonetti (Michael), Steven Tipp (Kristene) and Julie Balazic; his grandchildren, Lauren Stuart, Erica Bright, Walter Wood, Joe, Halle, Rachel Simonetti, Graem, Natalie Tipp, Eliza, Riley and Ethan Balazic; his brother John Tipp (Kathy); and his nieces and nephews, Kelly and Sheryl.
