He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen McDowell, and Francis J. McDowell, Jr.; and his wife Viola McDowell. He is survived by: his nephews, Kevin McDowell, John McDowell (Colleen McDowell), Patrick McDowell (Dara Schwartz) and Adam Schwartz; and his sister-in-law Gail McDowell.
